On the Road Again....
Dear Friends,
Today is an exciting day - well, sort of. Mission242blog.blogspot.com has been a place that I know many of you have frequented over the past year, and we have folks that tune in from everywhere in the United States - friends from Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Canada, Turkey, Germany and many other places! I appreciate you staying connected with us. However, today is our final post.
.... Well, sort of! The blog, Mission242blog.blogspot.com is being moved not deleted!
As many of you are aware, Mission242 is a growing campus ministry fellowship that was started by college-age/20somethings right here in Sacramento! You! Since our launching of this ministry, we've met with others that are doing campus ministry and many more that soon will, to hear about the opportunities of nationwide branding - meaning, Mission242 chapters all over the nation! We are excited to join forces with other pastors, youth pastors and leaders that want to oversee a revival on our college campuses! Campus Fellowship branding is nothing new. The Evangelical leader, Billy Graham started his ministry with an international campus movement; Louie Giglio, founder of Passion Conferences, started his the same. Intervarsity and Campus Crusade for Christ are just a couple example of successful Christian organizations. Almost any University you visit, there is an Intervarsity or CCFC chapter! It's easily idenfitied. People know who they are and what they're about. These are the opportunities with Mission242. We are partnering with Apostolic campus ministry experts and others in the field that have done this a long, long time! What an advantage there is in sharing information and building resources!
So the unique branding of Mission242 will be exclusive to these world-wide campus ministry efforts. A brand-new site will be launched beginning August 2008!
Meanwhile, the current blog has sort of become a College&Career blog for The Rock Church in Sacramento. As such, the blog is simply moving to a new address!
